• Established in October 1957, the Zimbabwe Institute of Quantity Surveyors has been influential in shaping the quantity surveying profession. By March 1980, 79 members had enrolled, showcasing their commitment to professionalism and ethics. Today, this esteemed organization continues to thrive, providing networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, and professional development for the current generation of quantity surveyors. With an active membership of 37 members, they contribute to the efficient management of resources and the advancement of the built environment in Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe Institute of Quantity Surveyors remains dedicated to promoting excellence, fostering collaboration, and driving industry growth, ensuring a bright future for quantity surveying in the country's infrastructure development.

To secure the advancement and facilitate the acquisition of that knowledge which constitutes the profession of a Quantity Surveyor and to maintain the integrity of the profession.

To promote the general interests of the profession and to maintain and extend its usefulness for the public advantage.

To provide for the amicable settlement or adjustment of professional disputes.

To enquire into and deal with any case of alleged unprofessional conduct in terms of these Rules.
